bobojuice
Not much is known of the origins of Bobojuice. As stories go, his is oft met with doubt, as it is quite incredulous. Some say he was created out of thin air, some say he was born in the belly of a whale. Whichever story you believe, it probably isn't as far from the truth as you would think. After coming into this world, he wandered the wilderness, fending for himself, until he was adopted by a family of beavers. The beavers became his one true family. They showed him compassion and kindness. They taught him the ways of the forest and the streams, and about beaver life. Until one day tragedy struck. Bobojuice was off collecting wood while his beaver family prepared the stream for the dam, when a bear attacked. The bear left not one of his beaver family alive. Not his beaver sister or beaver brother, or either of his beaver parents. He was griefstruck and enraged. With but a spear made of a branch off his family's dam, he went off into the woods seeking vengeance. He tracked the mightly bear to it's evil lair, where it sat, belly full of beaver, unsuspecting of what lurked just outside. Bobojuice attacked. The bear, stunned by the turn of events, could hardly believe what was happening. Nor could he do much about it, as Bobojuice was determined to avenge his family's deaths in any way possible. The bear swiped and clawed. He attacked with his mighty fangs. Alas, he was too slow. With agile movments, Bobojuice was able to subdue the great beast, and with his final blow, had completed the task he sought out. With his family gone and his vengeance satiated, it was time to move on.

WTF Video of the Day

Sure it’s got teddy bears eating people, spider cars, and pigeons flying around all over the place, but what I really enjoyed were the AT-AT style Teddy Walkers. [via BoingBoing]
Die Antwoord Live Show Mashup
Mar 12th
Die Antwoord posted a new video the other day on their website, which has also been redesigned (sort of), but subsequently took it down. Well it’s back up. It’s not really anything too new or exciting, but it does show us what one of their concerts looks like over in South Africa. Now that all the commotion has kind of died down, I wonder what kind of crowd they can expect if they eventually end up playing on this side of the dirt ball. I’d definitely be down to see them, but I’d also like to see them release some new material. One CD’s worth of material isn’t exactly what I’d be excited to see at a concert.

I’m by no means an artist. Okay, actually I’m the reverse of an artist. I’m terrible. However, even though I’m horrible at drawing and such, This Website still lets me have fun with it and pretend that I know what I’m doing. I’ve been playing with it and doodling on it at work all day and I cant get enough. Best of all it’s from the future. It’s made with HTML5. The only problem is that I don’t think there’s a way to delete your mistakes. Hit the jump for another sample of a doodle I did (to be fair I did these both with a regular Microsoft mouse). Alice in Wonderland
Mar 10th

Alright, so I got a bit lazy when it came to writing this review. I went to check the movie out for opening night. Yes, at 12:01 on a Thursday. It’s now Wednesday, and I honestly don’t really feel like writing it. How do you write a review about a mediocre movie that was as mediocre as you thought it was going to be? I guess we’re about to find out. Hit the jump for the entire review. Some spoilers ahead. More >
Tron Legacy

Finally a movie I can be excited for. Even though it’s just a sequel to a great classic movie I grew up on, I don’t mind it so much because it looks freaking amazing. Jeff Bridges reprises his role as as Kevin Flynn in this one, albeit it doesn’t look like he’s the main character this time around. Apparently he’s got a son, who decides to follow in his daddy’s footsteps. I saw the second trailer when I went to the opening of Alice and I was blown away. The bikes look awesome, the races look awesome, pretty much everything looks bad ass. And as much as I was an opponent to 3D, it’s actually starting to interest me. Especially with this flick. Click the jump for the second trailer. More >
World of Papercraft

These World of Warcraft papercraft sculptures just crit my visual cortex for wtfpwn. It takes some serious skill, or at least some serious basement dwelling to come up with such detailed paper art sculptures. All I can say is WTB, but then again if I ever showed something like this to anyone I’d probably never hear the end of it. Check out more here, or just head on over to the creator’s blog to check out the whole lot. Hit the jump for a few more examples. [via Walyou]

Bacon Rocket
Mar 8th
What do you get when you cross bacon with a rocket? A bacon rocket of course. Some resourceful chaps from the UK (I’m assuming) decided to find out how well a rocket made out of bacon would fly. Not very well, it turns out. Maybe ham? Someone jump on it. Honestly, I don’t get the whole craze about bacon. Maybe because I was never raised on the stuff. I do know a few people who would kill over bacon. Something for everyone, I suppose. The song was fun though. “Bacon and rocketry, in perfect harmony!” [via Geekologie]
